Valerie E. Kendrick-Cousin

Board Secretary

Elected to the board in 1998, Valerie served in higher education for over twenty years as a senior business administrator at several colleges and universities in New Jersey and New York until her call to ministry in 2004. She entered Union Theological Seminary in 2006 and graduated in 2009 with a Master of Divinity degree in preaching and worship. In June 2009, she was appointed as Executive Minister at Bridge Street AME Church where she oversees the administrative staff and program planning and execution and liturgy.ย 

Valerie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Alabama State University, a Master of Public Administration degree in Nonprofit Management from Seton Hall University, and a Certificate in Fundraising from Marymount College. She is a silver star member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; former chaplain of Jack & Jill of America, Westchester Chapter; and former board member, of Martin Luther King Child Development Center, New Rochelle, NY.
