Gregory Anderson

President and Chief Executive Officer

Gregory Anderson joined Bridge Street Development in 2019 with over 30 years of public finance investment banking experience, having served as a Managing Director with several Wall Street firms, including Lebenthal & Co, Advest Inc., WR Lazard, Dean Witter and Salomon Brothers. Prior to joining Bridge Street, Gregory served as a Financial Services Professional at New York Life/NYLIFE Securities where he participated in the New York Life African American Community Empowerment Plan, designed to create financial stability, economic opportunity and multigenerational wealth within the African American community. At New York Life he also conducted financial seminars for the Metropolitan Transportation Authorityโ€™s MWBE Small Business Development Program.

Throughout his career in public finance, Gregory completed over $5 billion in financings for state and local affordable housing and economic development finance agencies nationally. He has assisted in the development and implementation of many housing finance innovations and programs designed to revitalize low-income neighborhoods through rehabilitating aging housing stock and expanding homeownership opportunities in underserved communities.

Gregory has served as member of the Board of Directors and former Board Chair of WE ACT for Environmental Justice (WE ACT). WE ACTโ€™s mission is to build healthy communities by ensuring that people of color and/or low-income residents participate meaningfully in the creation of sound and fair environmental health and protection policies and practices. Gregory has also served as a Board member of Healing Communities Network (HCN), a nonprofit that conducts therapeutic community support programs in six New York State prisons and community-based programs for returning citizens. He has served on the Advisory Boards of Wall Street Without Walls and the Community Development Finance Lab at The New School, Milano School of Management and Urban Policy. He is also on the Board of the South Harlem Reds Baseball Program.
